Active Minds Activity Club is for people with early stages of dementia in need of activity, socialisation, motivation & stimulation to lift the well – being and regain a sense of belonging and new friendship Also offering respite for the carers in need of a temporary break.
The club offers meaningful, stimulating, therapeutic activities such as –
Singing , dancing, arts & crafts, painting, drawing, book reading, board games, relaxation, mini sports, movement to music, short walk, singalongs, gardening, stamp collecting, discussions, reminiscing and entertainment including visits from the local museum and flower/photography club and much more in a caring, safe, sensitive to needs environment. Our main goal is to lift the well – being of all members that attend.
The club provides –
- Tea/coffee & biscuits
- Fresh fruit
- 2 course meal
- Afternoon tea & cake
